That’s why carol & frank’s chic & charitable initiative is proud to support our local shelter, the Peninsula SPCA, through event sponsorships, generous donations, and hands-on volunteer work. Our mission? To raise awareness, educate our community, and help find forever homes for as many furry friends as possible—because every pet deserves their happily ever after.
Barktoberfest
Brews, Dogs, Bands, & Fun!
This exciting fall fundraising festival promises a day full of live music, local craft beer, food trucks, and an array of local vendors. But the real highlight? The pet and people costume contests, complete with cash prizes, plus tons of dog-friendly contests and activities sure to make every pup’s tail wag!
As proud event sponsors, we roll up our sleeves and dive right into the fun! We volunteer throughout the day to help keep activities running smoothly, contribute exciting prizes to the event raffle, and host a vendor booth where we share information on how to get involved in future events. It’s our way of supporting a great cause while being part of an unforgettable day.
Fur Ball
The Fur Ball is the Peninsula SPCA’s signature fundraising gala. This event
is a glamorous, feel-good evening dedicated to supporting pets and SPCA programs. Guests enjoy a charming Pet Parade, cocktails, a delicious buffet dinner, live music and dancing, plus exciting live and silent auctions. With black-tie optional or festive attire, it’s a truly unforgettable night for a great cause. Pet guests are welcome!

Another way we support our furry friends is through our creative talents. We offer professional photography, videography, and other creative services to help showcase adoptable pets at their very best.
By featuring these animals in carol & frank catalogs, campaigns, and product photography, we help tell their stories, increase visibility, and bring continued awareness helping to give more pets the spotlight they deserve and a better chance at finding forever homes.
about the Peninsula SPCA:
Since 1963, the PSPCA has provided shelter and adoption services for the homeless pets of the Virginia Peninsula. the recent transition to an adoption guarantee, or "no kill" animal shelter, has allowed the PSPCA to expand their services beyond adoption, to include humane education offerings to students and civic groups, and outreach programs to the citizens of our community. the PSCPA's Mission is to not only find loving homes for every animal in our care, but to advocate for the humane treatment of all animals in our community, through humane education and animal welfare programs.
here are the programs the Peninsula SPCA (PSPCA) has to offer:
* adoption services - as an adoption-guarantee animal shelter serving the Virginia Peninsula, the PSPCA provides care and shelter every year for more than 1,000 of the community's homeless pets while they wait for their forever homes
* humane education - the new Humane Education Center for Learning combines service learning and animal welfare education with STEM concepts, engaging students Pre-K through eighth grade in essential humane education experiences
* affordable veterinary care - in an effort to offer resources that help keep companion animals healthy and at home with their owners, PSPCA operates an affordable preventative healthcare clinic that offers low-cost vaccinations, parasite control, and spay/neuter services to the communityÂ
